We’ve outgrown our current logo and want you to design us a new one.
The long of it:
Since launching in 2011, Grey Area has engaged artists and designers to create unique objects, installations and experiences, crafting collaborations with fairs, non-profits, retailers and brands. Our projects have taken us from the Hamptons to Istanbul, LA to London. We’ve worked with The Whitney Museum, Publicolor, Helmut Lang, Stella McCartney, Bergdorf Goodman, The Standard Hotel and most recently Smart Car.
Once again we want to engage you artists, you designers, you creative minds, but this time with selfish intent. With each new project Grey Area has evolved far beyond the simple online art object shop we originally envisioned. Our excitement for new ideas, collaborations, and concepts has brought us to an incredible place. Now we can fulfill our mission of making art more accessible, expanding artists’ audiences and extending their creative outlets but with greater impact.
As a result of our evolution, we’ve decided it’s time to rebrand. Beyond improving our website to better showcase all the projects we’re working on and pieces we’re developing, we want to find a new logo, a new image that expresses who we are today rather than who we were at the beginning. and we want you to help us.
The Short of It:
Anyone may submit a design.
It must be adaptable to different media, surfaces, and sizes
It should be flexible enough to co-exist or incorporate the logos of other brands in anticipation of our various collaborations.
The selected artist/designer will receive $1000 in cash and $1000 in credit at Grey Area.
