ANDREA MARY MARSHALL
Andrea Mary Marshall is a New York based artist. Her work consists mainly of self-portraits rendered as paintings, photographs, and film. Through self-portraiture, Marshall examines the intersection of identity, female sexuality, and consumer culture in the context of the “ideal woman.” Her work has been shown in solo exhibitions, "Toxic Women” and “Gia Condo,” with Allegra LaViola Gallery, New York, NY. Her most recent exhibition “Sacred/Iconic” was held at Garis & Hahn, New York, NY. Additionally, she has participated in the 2013 Whitney Art Party and group exhibitions with Eric Firestone Gallery, East Hampton, NY; Bridgette Mayer Gallery, Philadelphia, PA; Grey Area, New York, NY; Phillips Auction House, New York, NY; Freight and Volume Gallery, New York, NY and the Lady Dior Multimedia Traveling Art Exhibition, commissioned by Dior, LVMH among others. Her work is held in international private collections. She received her Bachelors of Fine Art from Parsons The New School For Design in 2006.
